Project Background

The Liner is a collection of fifty-two, 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartment and penthouse building that was a regeneration of a former hotel. The symbolic and distinct design is inspired by the prow of a ship breaking through the waves in salute to Falmouth’s proud sailing traditions. With south-facing sea views over Gyllyngvase Beach, The Liner was Shortlisted for CE South West Award 2022 ‘Building Project of the Year’.

Cellecta’s HiDECK Overlay 18 was specified by Poynton Bradbury Wynter Cole Architects as the overlay flooring solution. It’s ideal for flooring applications incorporating an underflooring heating system due to its high thermal conductivity which provides rapid reaction times, saving on running costs. In addition, its high density makes it perfect for a variety of acoustic applications.

Acorn Property Group was awarded this 12,000m² contract for this development in Falmouth.
