Residential Case Study

Chapel Riverside, Southampton

Project Background

Chapel Riverside, the award-winning waterfront living development, includes 316 residential units across buildings from 2 to 23 stories, featuring commercial and retail space and underfloor heating. Chapel Riverside is part of Southampton City Council’s Itchen Riverside project. Flood defences were redeveloped, seeing a raised site level and a 210m sea wall. Designed using BIM for a BREEAM Excellent rating of 70% and meeting Secured by Design requirements, this project was recognised with awards for ‘Best New Development in the South’ and ‘Best Regeneration Scheme’.

Cellecta’s HiDECK Overlay 18 was specified by Inland Homes & Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners Limited in this project as the overlay flooring solution. It’s ideal for flooring applications incorporating an underflooring heating system due to its high thermal conductivity, which provides rapid reaction times, saving on running costs. In addition, its high density makes it perfect for various acoustic applications.

Inland Homes were supplied 5,500m² of Cellecta products for this development in Southampton.
