Brewery Features Cellecta Soundproofing

A stunning 19th century brewery in Sileby, North Leicestershire was recently revitalised with 1200m2 of DECKfon 26T acoustic flooring to ensure the development met the soundproofing demands of part E Regulations.

Renamed “The Maltings” a Grade II brewery has been converted into a mix of sympathetically converted 1, 2 and 3 bedroom homes by Grantwood Design and Build. Located near the centre of the village, The Maltings is located within walking distance of local pubs, restaurants and pubs. Relaxing boat trips are also available from the nearby River Sour.

Installed on the sub-deck of i-joist timber floors, DECKfon 26T soundproof flooring was recognised as the ideal flooring solution for this development. Extensive benefits including a easy to install tongue and groove edge detail and a high performance resilient layer. The soundproof system also consisted of resilient bars fixed below the timber joists in addition to 2 layers of 15mm plasterboards to complete the ceiling treatment.
