Exceptional Seafront Soundproofing in Penarth
Cellecta’s FIBREfon 28C soundproof flooring has recently been installed into a glorious development on the seafront on Penarth, South Wales. The Cellecta solutions were recognised as the ideal products for the acoustic and soundproofing demands of the domestic and commercial development.
The large development consisted of a 9 bed boutique hotel, 2 commercial units, 3 X 3 storey town houses and 2 X 2 bed luxury apartments. One of the commercial units is a restaurant belonging to the Michelin-starred chef James Sommerin. The restaurant keeps the exterior of the conversion to its original character but designing the interior in a very fresh, minimalistic design. The development boasts panoramic views of the stunning Penarth coast line and pier making it an ideal location for apartments and a beautiful location for the restaurant.
High Compressive Treatment
FIBREfon 28C is an acoustic overlay board which are designed specifically for concrete floors where a high compressive treatment is required. They can withstand imposed loads, such as lightweight partitions being built off them, without their acoustic integrity being affected.
Cellecta’s acoustic wall solution FIBREfon Hi-GYP 28 and FIBREfon MICRO 15 were also used in this refurb development. HiGYP boards feature a higher density than traditional gypsum wall boards and a high performance resilient layer (FIBREfon). These properties are effective in eliminating impact and airborne noise and produce treatments that deliver outstanding levels of acoustic performance for both separating and partition walls.
