Swim, Cycle, Run = Cellecta Ringwood Triathlon
Strong to the Core Sunday in Ringwood
After months of preparation, the day had finally arrived for Cellecta’s Strong to the Core Ringwood Triathlon. Despite being a very wet and cold morning, contestants were in high spirits with over 150 people taking part in the event. Participants took to the swimming pool for a 600m swim, a 28 mile bike ride, followed by a fast but relentless 10k run. The weather conditions made it an even greater challenge for everyone taking part, but everyone lived up to the challenge and proved they really were strong to the core.
Exceptional Efforts from Cellecta Participants
The majority of the participants had taken part in triathlons before, however Cellecta’s Jamie Street, Becky Waters and Gethyn Lewis completed the triathlon as a relay team in a first triathlon attempt. They all enjoyed keeping fit but had never faced such an intense challenge, it was an exceptional effort from the trio. Cellecta’s Matt Tugwell also took part and did extremely well for completing the triathlon on his own in a brilliant time of 2 hours 39 minutes.
Cellecta’s Yellow Banners, Flags & T-shirts Brighten the Day
Although the sky was grey and the rain was coming down the bright yellow Cellecta flags, banners and t-shirts added a touch of sunshine to the day. All triathlon partakers received a well-earned Cellecta medal and t-shirt at the finish line.
